Ongoing series

These weavings are made from my own hair, collected over 15 years. The small weavings are a way to memorialize my own changing physical identity. These hair weavings are about personal exploration, shedding, changing and loss of identity, explored through therapy, social interaction and fiber art. These pieces are about treasuring the identity of who I once was and turning that DNA into a physical manifestation and touchable art piece.
