9-piece weaving. Each individual weaving is 5.5"x8”, overall piece is 28”x32”

 

Framed in 8x10 shadow frames. 

 

Materials: Cotton, Wool and Silk. Majority of materials are second hand

 

Hand dyed wool using: Acorn, Amaranth, Blackberry, Cannabis, Dahlia, Iron Modifier. 

 

Left to right

Top row - amaranth, cannabis, amaranth(iron mordant), 

Middle row - acorn, dahlia, dahlia(iron mordant)

Bottom row - cannabis(iron mordant), acorn(iron mordant), blackberry(iron mordant)

 

Silk embroidery thread hand dyed using onion skins, stick lac and indigo.
