In an undoing and questioning of hierarchy, the versatile material usage cultivates tension and interrogates the binaries of high/low brow, expensive/cheap, hard/soft, loose/tight, vibrant/dull, common/rare. Through this I call into question the craft/art dynamic and what material means in contemporary art.
