This public art installation ponders the question “how do you weave yourself into the community”. Made for “The Belonging Project” an installation and exhibition in an empty lot in downtown Sebastopol, this installation weaves bright and vivid post consumer fabric into geometrics patterns and stripes integrating shape and color to enliven, decorate and beautify the fence. In an additional community integrated element I asked this question to the community and had them respond on fabric. This was then hung on the fence for the community to look at, ponder and respond to.
